Today is day seventeen on the Colonix program and I was wonderign what is in the COLONIX fiber powder mix that I’m taking each morning. From the instruction book it says that the the COLONIX Intestinal Cleanser is made from psyllium. Psyllium is a natural bulking agent. It yields 60-70 percent soulble fiber, eight times that of oat bran. I did a google search on psyllium and found a great definition page on the University of Maryland medical center.
Psyllium is supposed to help absorb toxins in your colon by creating a spongy, gelatinous masses in your colon bowels. The psyllium is supposed to swell and absorb fluids and break down and moves toxic waste matter stuck in the folds and crevices of your colon. A clean colon helps prevent harmful bacteria and parasites from surviving on any human waste stuck in your colon.
Colonix is supposively made with the highest grade of psyllium, the instructions doesn’t really say where they get the psyllium. All this high grade psyllium is supposed to help feed and maintian a healthy intestinal flora. Besides the top grade of psyllium, COLONIX contains 14 essential herbs.
I’m no doctor or scientist, but I did forget about my Colonix intestinal cleanser fiber powder and left it in a cup. About an hour later the mix and water had become a sort of huge gel like substance.
As far as what going on with the bowel movements, the last two days at night my stomach seems to have been upset. I some chicken pasta last night and perhaps it was just to creamy for me. The picture of the bowel movement is from this morning.
